Mukalla, Hadramout — 31 July 2024: As part of its ongoing efforts to support peacebuilding and community development in Yemen, Tamadon Foundation organized a workshop in the city of Mukalla, Hadramout, focusing on enhancing public participation in peace processes and strengthening social cohesion within local communities.
The workshop brought together a diverse group of political and community activists, representatives of political parties, civil society organizations, and social influencers from across the governorate.
The training aimed to build the capacities of local actors in peacebuilding processes, deepen their understanding of peace-related concepts, and strengthen their role in promoting peace and social cohesion through their community engagement and local initiatives.
Prof. Shadi Basurah, Member of the Board of Directors at Tamadon Foundation and Member of the Presidium of the Hadramout National Council, highlighted the importance of organizing such workshops as a key step toward localizing peace concepts and fostering common ground among various stakeholders.

He added that empowering local communities to contribute effectively to peace efforts is essential to reducing conflict in all its forms and promoting stability across the country.
This workshop is part of Tamadon Foundation’s broader vision to promote dialogue, social cohesion, and community participation in building sustainable peace in Yemen.
