Hamtramck, Michigan, January 6, 2025: In a gesture of appreciation for its significant role in promoting a culture of dialogue and peace and supporting cultural and political development in Yemen and beyond, the Tamadon Foundation was awarded a certificate of appreciation by Dr. Ameer Ghalib, the Mayor of Hamtramck.
Dr. Mahmood Al-Azani, Cahir of the Foundation, received the certificate, expressing deep gratitude to the mayor for this kind gesture. He praised the pioneering role played by Dr. Ghalib as a change maker, and the impactful political mobilisation he leads in enhancing the influence and standing of Yemenis within the political circles of the United States.
During the award ceremony, the mayor lauded the outstanding contributions of the Tamadon Foundation to the Yemeni community in Britain, and its extensive efforts in coordinating the activities of Yemenis abroad.
He noted that Tamadon’s commitment to peace and cultural and political issues “not only strengthens our local communities but also extends its influence globally, ensuring that the voices of Yemenis are heard during this critical historical period.”
