
Geneva, 27 September 2024 – The Tamadon Foundation held a productive meeting with Mr. Ayman Ayoub, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Division at the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF).
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mahmood Alazani, Chair of Tamadon and Dr. Hamdan Dammag, Tamadon’s Executive Director, along with other stakeholders. The discussions focused on Tamadon’s efforts to promote stability and peace within Yemen, as well as the initiatives led by the foundation in collaboration with local, regional, and international partners to achieve comprehensive and sustainable peace.
Mr. Ayman Ayoub expressed his deep appreciation for Tamadon’s efforts, highlighting their alignment with DCAF’s priorities, particularly in fostering reconciliation, development, and stability. He reaffirmed DCAF’s readiness to support Tamadon through partnerships aimed at enhancing security sector governance in Yemen, grounded in the principles of the rule of law and respect for human rights.
Also present at the meeting were Hani Al-Aswadi, Head of the Humanitarian and Human Rights Track at the National Reconciliation Movement (NRM), along with Ms. Nadia Remini and Mr. Jean Conteh, who manage Yemen’s portfolio at the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance.
This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships that contribute to supporting peace and development in Yemen, paving the way for sustainable security and stability.
