TAIZ – June 20, 2026: The Tamadon Foundation for Cultural Development and Media has concluded a final series of “Circles of Peace” sessions targeting war-affected women in the Salh, Al-Qahirah, and Al-Mudhaffar districts of Taiz Governorate. This activity comes within the framework of the project “Circles of Peace in Yemen: Mothers for Healing and Preventing Violent Extremism,” supported by the “Peace Track Initiative” and in partnership with the “Yemen Peace School Organization.”
The sessions saw the participation of 45 women affected by the conflict, with activities focusing on the following:
- Strengthening social cohesion and supporting the psychosocial recovery of the participants.
- Empowering mothers to reclaim their active role in building a more stable and secure community environment.
- Integrating beneficiaries into the local community and connecting them with healthcare and legal service providers to ensure they receive the necessary care.
- Referring participants to economic empowerment programs to improve their living conditions and enhance their financial independence.
This project comes in response to the growing needs of women affected by the conflict in Yemen, and aims to provide safe spaces for dialogue and healing, as well as enhancing the role of women as peacemakers and essential partners in efforts to prevent violence and extremism.
