13 November 2025 – Prof. Shadi Basurra, Senior Advisory Director of Tamadon, participated in the 6th International Forum on Breast and Cervical Cancer in Lisbon, Portugal, where he spoke on the role of advanced digital technologies in supporting cancer detection.
His contribution focused on the IT dimension of current healthcare innovation, highlighting how Artificial Intelligence, including Deep Learning, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Explainable AI (XAI), can help improve the early detection of metastases and support clinical decision-making.
The forum also provided an opportunity to present recent collaborative research and to engage with specialists from across disciplines on the growing importance of technology-enabled healthcare solutions.
Prof. Basurra emphasised that AI is not intended to replace radiologists, but to strengthen their work through automated verification, greater efficiency, and better management of increasing screening data.
